- Q – Why do I have to pay to be a contributor?
- A – Only The Journal Project requires payment to be a contributor. This is to help cover the costs of materials, postage and your own copy of the eBook
- Q – What happens if the journal is lost in the mail?
- A – As disappointing as that would be its not the end of the world. We will have scanned copies of all contributions once they are made and before the forwarding instructions are sent out so we will be able to still create the eBook and the printed versions. In the event that a journal is lost we will send a new journal to the next recipient and simply continue the process from that point.
- Q – Where does the money from registering for The Journal go?
- A – To cover the cost of the journal itself as well as mailing costs.
- Q – Where does the money from book sales go?
- A – Running any website involves costs, registering the domain name every year and having someone host the site so you can see something when you go to the domain. Plus to produce the books themselves costs money. Once those costs have been met 10% of the profits will go to cover the time involved in creating the ebooks and the printed versions. (This is an initial estimation that will be revised every 6 months and adjusted accordingly). The rest of the profits will be split equally between the contributors.
- Q – How do I get paid?
- A – All payments are made via PayPal so if you dont have a paypal account you should go here and set one up.
- Q – Where can I see an accounting breakdown?
- A – Once a project is fully under way there will be an accounting page made available to all participant. It will show all the costs involved with that project, all the revenues and a breakdown of how those revenues were distributed.
